It goes without saying that I just love apple desserts, all year around!

But what's not to love about healthy and naturally sweet apples layered over crispy pastry?!?
Wholesome and comforting. And tasting just like apple pie!

These delightful treats are a perfect combination of crispy puff pastry, sticky caramelized apples, and a touch of sweetness. They are great for breakfast, snack or dessert.

And they are quite versatile and easy to customize to your flavors.

You can make these with slices of peach, pear, fig, plum... And you can top almond slices, crushed hazelbuts or pistachios. And serve with icecream, whipped cream or just by themselves!

The best part? They are incredibly easy to make and require very few ingredients that you most likely already have in your kitchen.

All you have to do to make this recipe is drizzle some honey on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, top with apple slices, more honey, and top with a piece of puff pastry that covers the apple.

Brush with egg wash and bake.

Once they are golden and puffy, remove them from the oven and let them cool down just for 2 minutes or so. With a spatula, gently lift them up and flip them. If the edges are not golden enough you can place them back in the oven (downside up) and bake for 3 or 4 more minutes until golden.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy!
