Ingredients
- 6 oz (170 gr) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (75 gr) powdered sugar, plus more to sprinkle on top
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups (240 gr) all-purpose flour
- pinch salt
- strawberry jam, or your favorite
- powdered sugar, to decorate
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the butter cut into cubes with powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix. Add the flour and salt and mix until combined.
- Shape into 12 balls (about 50 gr each), and flattened them out slightly with the bottom of a cup. Make two thumbprints in a heart shape and fill them with jam. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350F (180C), and bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden at the edges. Move to a cookie rack to cool down, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar, and enjoy!
